Make/model; 1956 Pontiac Chieftain 860 2 door wagon (one of only 6099 produced)

 

Body; basically stock with '03 Jag headlights and '55 Chevy taillights. (the original Pontiac taillights are currently being restored)

 

Paint; Lexus "Absolute Red"
 

Engine; GM ZZ454 big block Chevy with 10/1 Keith Black pistons, roller rockers, Edelbrock manifold, Holley Street Avenger carb, coated headers and lots of billet bling. Trans is a 700R 4 speed auto. The radiator is a Griffith cross flow with dual 12" Flex-a-lite electric fans.

 

Chassis; '78 Firebird front clip with the big disc brakes and power steering. Global West upper and lower "A" arms with Air Ride Technologies Shockwaves and 2" dropped spindles. Rear end is an 8 1/2" 10 bolt GM on leaf springs with air shocks. Wheels are 17" Billet Specialties

 

Interior; Neutral gray leather over stock seat frames with matching headliner. Wool carpet and custom mats. GM tilt column with Billet Specialties wheel. Gauges by Classic Instruments.
The car was originally a rust-free Texas car and was built in South Carolina by Danny McCallister. It won its class at the Goodguys Nationals at Charlotte and was featured in Super Rod magazine (May '03).
